 |
| Thanks for visiting the League of Historic
American Theatres' Web Manual. This learning tool will help you,
and those you want for helpers, understand the process of reenergizing
a historic theatre. This site contains a series of short articles.
Each may be read, printed, and shared at meetings.
What Do You Want To Do?
-
Reinvigorate our community with the help of
a historic theatre
-
Save a historic theatre from demolition
-
Decide whether to build a new theatre or restore
an old one
-
Operate an older theatre, maybe restore it
someday
The League's mission is to promote and facilitate
the rescue, restoration, and operation of America's historic theatres,
so most of this site is public, especially the part most often used in
emergencies - the "Rescue" materials. The League is a membership
organization. Its members are among the finest operators and restoration
specialists in the world. Joining the League gives you access to
their knowledge and skills for a wide variety of operational and restoration
information. Material will change from time to time, especially in
the "Members" lounge, so come back frequently. When the League learns
more, you'll remain connected.
